Green Industrialisation:
The beginning of a new era

Ethiopia and it’s focus on sustainability

IPDC has taken great initiative by developing world class ZLD plant at Hawassa Industrial Park

The cost of environment restoration post degradation is 25 times the cost of environment protection.

An initiative that will earn good economic return in the long run for Ethiopia. For every $1 invested in water, there is an economic return of $5 to $13

It’s leading example of achieving high growth through industrialisation while maintaining ecological balance

Zero Liquid Discharge - Latest breakthrough in the water industry

1

11 MLD ZLD Plant

IPDC and Arvind Envisol building up a 11 MLD ZLD plant, attaining a new echelon
2

Low Operational Cost

One of the lowest operations cost for a ZLD plant in the world
3

World Class Patented Technology

World class patented technology with best of the material in use

Better Employment Oppotunities

Localization by training skilled manpower and creating better employment opportunities for people of Ethiopia

ZLD is a water treatment process in which all waste water is purified and recycled leaving zero discharge at the end of the cycle

Green Industrialization: The reason behind Ethipoia’s success

Green Industrialization is the cornerstone of Ethiopia’s strategy for rapid economic development. Ethiopia has enjoyed the privilege of being among the fastest growing economies in the world. We believe that if this economic progress is to continue, it is important to attract foreign investors to bring in state-of-the-art technologies and global best practices as well as encourage local manufacturers to improve their competitiveness so that they can compete on a global stage.

Support from the government

The Government of Ethiopia and Arvind Envisol have entered into an agreement for implementation of the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology for Industrial Parks. Together, they have agreed to provide other water treatment technologies using the latest and most effective technologies and global best practices for industries and factories outside the industrial parks.

Path-breaking initiative

The IPDC has taken a path-breaking initiative by developing a world class ZLD plant at Hawassa Industrial Park. By doing so, it has become a leading example of achieving high growth through industrialisation while maintaining ecological balance.
